Laravel is designed to let developers build durable web applications quickly and easily (relatively speaking!). When the fit with your organisation is right, it’s what we’ll gladly choose.

Our recommendation for which platform to use always takes into account a number of factors. We look at what you want to achieve, what you already have in terms of your enterprise architecture and what your team’s skillset encompasses. Put together, there will be certain combinations that point us towards Laravel. In particular, although the focus of Laravel isn’t content management, it comes to the fore for applications that are data-centric and need to govern business logic.

Our team includes experienced developers who love nothing better than to produce elegant, effective Laravel applications. They’ll also be happy to assess and improve the performance of any existing Laravel applications you’re not happy with.

Laravel framework

Laravel is written in PHP, and based on the Symfony framework. That immediately gives it an association with Drupal, another PHP platform. So if you have content-focussed applications written – or likely to be written – in Drupal, we’ll probably recommend Laravel for any middleware you need to run alongside it as it is lightweight, flexible and extendable. That means you only need a single set of skills in your team to support both, once development is complete.

Where content isn’t at the core of what you do, we will still consider Laravel if your team has PHP skills or your existing enterprise architecture points that way.

Bespoke Laravel development

We’ve built many products using Laravel, including ones that offer customers a bespoke single sign-on platform and others that give clients a single view of their customers.

Laravel is ideal for applications that draw customer data from a number of sources such as Salesforce, ERP, CRM and eCommerce channels. We’ve also used it to build apps for organisations that want to ‘white label’ information sources.
